Analytics in Valamis

Valamis offers multi-tenant learning progress reports for activity in lessons, learning paths and training events, which provide insights on learning for admins, managers, executives, HR, and L&D specialists.

Valamis securely processes learning data in real-time to provide reports according to the organizational structure permissions. Supervisors (Valamis organization admin role) can only view the data of their subordinates.

The adoption report for Valamis company admins is synchronized every 24 hours. 

Types of Learning Progress Reports 

Lesson User Progress Report

This report provides information about the current activity and progress for lessons. It helps you to identify learners with the highest engagement for each performance metric within a specific time period. 

Learning Path User Progress Report

This report focuses on the user activities related to Learning Paths. This report tracks the current user progress in the context of learning paths for different users, according to the organization structure and its permissions. It shows details such as start and completion dates, and learning path statuses, filtered by specific users, organizations, courses, etc.

Training Event User Progress Report

This report focuses on the user activities related to Training Events. This report tracks the current user activity in the context of training events for different users, according to the organization structure and its permissions. It shows details such as start and end dates, registrations and completions, and more, filtered by specific users, organizations, courses, etc. 

Learning Progress Reports Description

Each Learning Progress Report - for lessons, learning paths, and training events - consists of the following parts (in order):
Filters – interactive elements that allow you to change the scope of data.
Metrics – the data presented in numeric format.
Table – a table with various columns related to that report.
All filters (except Date) support multi-selection.  When filters are applied (or none selected), the relevant data is shown in the metrics and tables, based on the selection. 
Each of these parts is described below.

Main Features of Learning Progress Reports

Access control based on the customer organization structure in Valamis. Managers and administrators will see only the data relevant to their area, e.g. subordinate users and departments. 

Exporting features:

On-screen data can be exported as a CSV file which can be utilized in MS Excel or other external tools by all report viewers to build their own reports, for example by merging data from other sources. 

Visualizations from Valamis can also be downloaded as JPG. 
Viewing permissions can be given separately through regular roles. 
The following customizations are agreed upon separately as additional scope: 
User custom fields (taken from SCIM integration) as columns.
User custom fields filtration (possible for text-based fields).
Dashboard customization (changing column order, toggling off elements).
Dashboard translation into different languages (not content-related). English is the default.
