How does Valamis manage instructor-led training alongside online courses?
Valamis handles scheduled sessions, in-person and virtual, within the same platform as your online learning. L&D teams create events with capacity, prerequisites, location, or virtual link, and registration deadlines. Employees register through Valamis, attendance is tracked in Valamis, and completions appear in the same record as all other training. No parallel system for ILT.
Can Valamis integrate with Microsoft Teams or Zoom for virtual sessions?
Yes. Valamis integrates with virtual meeting platforms so employees can launch virtual training sessions directly within Valamis. They register, join, and get their attendance recorded without switching tools. The integration removes the manual step of tracking who attended a Microsoft Teams or Zoom session separately from the LMS.
How does Valamis manage event registration, capacity, and waitlists?
You set a capacity when creating an event in Valamis. Registrations fill to that limit, then go to a waitlist. When a spot opens, the first person on the waitlist is notified. This runs without admin involvement. L&D teams can also trigger additional sessions from waitlist data when demand is clearly outpacing availability.
Can Valamis provide an audit trail for attendance at mandatory compliance sessions?
Yes. Attendance at instructor-led sessions in Valamis is recorded with timestamps and stored as part of each employee’s compliance record, the same way online module completions are tracked. If your compliance framework requires documented attendance at a specific session type, Valamis records that and includes it directly in your audit reporting.
