Statens vegvesen selects Valamis for 6,000 employees and contractors

Statens vegvesen, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, has chosen Valamis as its new learning platform following a public tender competition. Task Alliance delivers and implements the platform.

5,000 employees and 1,000 external users will learn in the same system. Two audiences, separate access, separate records, one place to manage both.

Statens vegvesen Norway selects Valamis and Task Alliance to implement a learning platform for its 6,000 employees and contractors.

Extending training beyond employees is rarely simple. Contractors, suppliers and partners need their own access and their own records, without a second system running alongside the first.

Task Alliance is an Oslo-based learning provider that has worked with Norwegian and international organizations for more than 25 years. Their teams bring together instructional design, scriptwriting, multimedia production, technology and advisory work, and they have held a framework agreement for course development with Statens vegvesen for several years.

That history is why the split works. Task knows the agency’s training programs and the people running them, so the build starts from something already understood rather than from a discovery phase. Task stays close to the training. We provide the technology and the integrations behind it.

Stig Robert Larsen, CEO of Task Alliance:

“There were eight participants in this procurement, and Task was the one left standing. With this achievement we confirm our position as a full-service provider of training services, from developing training initiatives that deliver measurable results, to the ecosystem in which the learning takes place.”

Henri Korhola, Project Manager, Valamis:

“Task sits closest to the training and to the people using it. My job is making sure the platform does what they have already worked out with the agency, and that we find the gaps early rather than at testing.”

Knud Eddie Nordin, Project Manager at Statens vegvesen:

“We wanted a modern, forward-looking learning platform that covers our needs for learning, training and competence development. After a thorough competition, we judged Task and Valamis to be the solution that best answered our requirements.”

Implementation is underway.
